Who at Acceptance is insuring Haitians knowing they are unlicensed, and therefore can refuse to pay out? Why is Trust Auto the point of sale for so many Haitians' vehicles? How are they getting loans or documentation to purchase these cars without licensing?

Although the Haitians are insured through Acceptance Insurance, they do not have licenses, so insurers refuse to pay out. Due to regulations preventing immediate scrap and sale, these shells can fill salvage lots for up to two months.

Furthermore, both owners reported that Haitians overwhelmingly drove Honda Odysseys when they began to arrive en masse a year ago. Trust Auto was the point of origin for many Haitian owned and operated vehicles.
