Last Wednesday night, a man was murdered in Dyker Heights, #Brooklyn. His killer is still on the loose. @NYPD68Pct and @JustinBrannan did not say anything to the community (until Brannan's tweet today). Justin Brannan is not a leader here. #BayRidge #DykerHeights

It's interesting how @Sen_Gounardes explained this meeting and how Jo Anne Simon explained it. From Gounardes description, no one would know it was an immigration meeting.
Hundreds came out to talk about organizing during unprecedented times. TY to speakers from @nyclu, @thenyic, & @aqe_ny for reminding us -- don't comply in advance. The new admin is flooding us w/ executive orders & we can't let them distract us from protecting our neighbors.

@zellnor4ny @ZephyrTeachout Does @ZephyrTeachout live in NYC? I live in an area where Teachout spoke out against Republican's corruption. Years later, it was just replaced with Democrat's corruption. Zellnor had the ability to help make NYC more affordable and he chose not to - property taxes!

@NewYorkStateAG Hey Tish, Does the community where this happened get the money? Or is it just NYS taking it? Our politicians did nothing to get these stores closed - in other communities, politicians went with the NYPD and closed them up.

@NYC_SafeStreets In #BayRidge we are getting one of those zones, not because the community board voted for it, but because some politicians decided putting a school at a busy intersection was a good idea. When the community objected, the pols didn't listen.

@TheRevAl @JustinBrannan Brannan represents Coney Island. A casino is trying to set up there. Justin Brannan is not with the people at meetings. The casino representative was at Brannan's party at Gargiulo's. The developer have not been good to the people because no one has expected him to be!

When NYC planned for a homeless shelter, Brannan did not tell the people he received notice. When people protested because , Brannan's staffer took pics and tried to shame them!

Justin Brannan has been in NYC Council since 2018. He's never mentioned this UNTIL now? Brannan was the head of Finance - why didn't he tell NYC this years ago? As a councilman he has written many useless opinion articles to #PlayPolitics
