Checks and balances is so passé
If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal. If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that's also illegal. Judges aren't allowed to control the executive's legitimate power.

@lxeagle17 @Vedthalegend Perhaps nationally, not locally. But the map is very similar to the one Max Rose used to win in 2018. But Trump + One Party Rule + Defund the Police/Bail reform rapidly transformed the electorate. No Dem has won Island wide since and likely won’t.

Joe Biden’s historical legacy will be how his arrogance paved the way for Trump to do whatever the hell he wants.
Trump justifies pardoning people who attacked law enforcement on Jan. 6th because he argues people who murder people in the U.S. don't get charged. He then immediately turns to Biden's pardons for his family members yesterday.

Biden in 2020 when asked about Trump possibly issuing preemptive pardons for his children: “It concerns me, in terms of what kind of precedent it sets and how the rest of the world looks at us as a nation of laws and justice…in terms of the pardons, you're not going to see, in our administration, that kind of approach to pardons.”
