Just as we near the time of the Christmas bombing, let me remind you that it was Henry Kissinger who advised President Richard Nixon to bomb Hanoi in 1972 to make the North Vietnamese "negotiate seriously". 2,400 Vietnamese lost their lives then.

This tension from NYT v. OpenAI (specifically the Bing retrieval example) was also there a long time ago for the news agencies in my JMP. The AP was granted temporary copyright over "facts" that were costly to collect, blocking a competitor from paraphrasing AP WW1 news.
A real copyright-tension here. You can summarize & use facts, but not reproduce long strings of expression. LLMs fundamentally can't separate these: getting facts right from "rare" sources in word distribution of everything ever said = can reproduce strings from common sources.
