That’s sad & good for Verlander. - My grandfather drove the NYJ bus to training camp one year. The whole team got off the bus w/o saying a word. The last player off the bus made the entire team get back on & off again, this time saying thanks to him. That player, Joe Namath.

All joking aside. It’s VERY hard to figure out why he plays every night. I watch, as do you, ALOT of hockey across the league. He may be the worst, if not, at a minimum, he’s “top” 2-3 worst forwards in the league. And he plays, w/o question... EVERY F-ING NIGHT!

It’s round 1. Go to the game. Enjoy. Stanley Cup Finals game 7 belongs with Dad. —- Take it from exp. that’s what I did in ‘94.. went to NYR bar or to game every round until game 7 in finals…..and now he’s gone. I’m grateful for the memory of winning the cup with him.

In the entire NHL, this is the 1st game of the playoffs without one…. One…after the whistle scrum, get together, fighting to change/develop momentum….B/c the Rangers don’t have one guy who gets under the others teams skin. Was a problem last year, is a problem this year.

Ridiculous comment. Grass will slow down, everyone, not just the "fast" guys. So that makes NO sense. Also, if the league was interested in player safety/concussions, they would WANT to slow down the game a bit. It's a money issue, turf is easily maintainable. Simple as that.
