@UHC If an MD prescribed a medication, they’re saying it’s medically justified. If the generic is unavailable and you insist on extra pre-authorization to approve the brand name, there’s ONLY one reason: to avoid paying out benefits to which someone is entitled. Shame on you.

About to do the Vanishing Gradients podcast to talk about LLMs and prompting!

Just out on arXiv: my paper arguing that harmful biases are an inherent consequence of the underlying assumptions in any large language model, as LLMs are currently formulated. To the extent this is true, those assumptions badly need to be revisited.

@UHC @askUHC Three times now you've tried to terminate post-stroke rehab coverage for my 89yo dad, and three times you've been overruled on appeal. Repeating your attempts again and again at the earliest opportunity is starting to feel like harrassment.

Once again United Healthcare attempts to terminate rehab services for my post-stroke 89yo dad (now while he has COVID, no less!), and once again 3rd-party medical review supports our appeal. @AskUHC @UHC, perhaps there's a message here for you?
