Here are 5 important tips for shading!
1. Work big to small: Prioritize clarity of primary forms.
Shading secondary forms shouldn't hurt the illusion of the primary forms. And tertiary forms shouldn't hurt the illusion of the secondary forms.

The septum and wings hook into the inside of the nose. That's KEY to not ending up with a cartoonish nose.
Watch out for these two mistakes: drawing the nose as just a flat outline and drawing the nostril holes and missing the bulk of the wings and septum.
Pay attention to
We all want to draw faster. But it's not about making lines rapidly. It's about breaking things down simply and quickly.

There are some simple ways we can make hand drawings more believable.
