Today, you have ensured that for every diversion of #forest land, equivalent land is given as Compensatory #Afforestation (CA) which has been subverted by the #FCAA23. The amended act allowed only #afforestation on land that was already forests. Hence, every diversion involved losing a) the diverted forest and 2) the forest given for CA. As per today's order, each and every case of forest diversion, the @MoEFCC as well as States must ensure that irrespective of the user agency equivalent amount of non-forest land will have to be provided for the #forest land diverted.
