There have been so many proposals in the past to convert #naturaltrails into concerete roads on the different tekdis in the city. It has always met with strong resistance from the common people using the trails. Read the article to know why :)

This is yet another example of collapse of local-self governance. It has real life consequences for ordinary citizens! Increasingly @PMCPune is losing its purpose.
So, all this while, while Media was only reporting on adding the figures shared by authorities and never had the courage to go behind the scenes and check what’s wrong, here I present my argument and my detailed story on - whether it is a GBS OUTBREAK OR A MASSIVE COVER UP! sure enough it’s an administrative failure, coz Jan 9, you’ll saw first case and Jan 10 pmc claimed its water contamination then how come till date we are still seeing cases soar and that too of a disorder that’s a nerve damage one and rarely seen! This is the largest GBS outbreak in the world and yet the source of contamination is not shared by the civic body! What has caused the failure? Central funds being wasted on #PuneRFD. locals have no say in the process, they dnt get to see designs, surveys, their questions not answered & inputs not taken. Why are such projects being imposed? if they exclude local punekars then who is RFD for?! #CleanPuneRivers instead!

What happens in Mumbai affects Pune. Recently #PuneRTO recorded 3lakh vehicles registrations. There cannot be enough roads for ever rising vehicles! @PMCPune has no comprehensive plan for public transport.
Why is every new proposal half witted & ignores real issues? YES we need a parking policy. But will this apply to shops, car dealerships and driving classes? Check every car dealer on Appasaheb Marathe Marg 400025- every dealer including Mercedes has occupied every bit of road space with new and trial cars. Is it so hard for bureaucrats to think holistically? Maybe @IASassociation needs retraining and rethinking- We will not come up with policies that target helpless middle class and leave hafta payers out of the loop! Teach them this simple principle!
