3 months ago (around the Biome update) Unown stopped spawning in the wild. Today, with Rocket Takeover, it's back with a massive boost.
Previously, Unown was around 1/1,000,000 spawns. Currently its around 1/50,000. RARE, but far more common! 🧵

- Each player has the Regional Pokemon Randomised.
- Azelf could turn into Flabébé and vice versa.
- IV's remain unchanged, so a 100IV will still be a 100IV. Weather/Typing will affect this however.

Unown has been changed! Over PoryPro's network we used to see 1-2 Unown's a day, its very rare. However, we haven't seen one for 2 weeks now!

I've started seeing messages that Unown has disappeared. This is not true.
It seems the boosted spawn rate has been turned way down but its still around, the drop happened around 18 hours ago.

Amaura on the other hand, we've seen 9! A whole 9 today! It's basically not in the event. I don't know if this is a glitch or a Northern/Southern hemisphere thing. But this is completely broken!

Interesting note, hemisphere specific spawns such as Mawile seem to be extremely rare. In 3 hours after checking 200,000+ spawns, only 180 have been found.
The shiny rate is boosted! Likely to match Bronzor 1/64, but the chances you see one are very, very low. More data soon!

Pikachu is rare, but its still in the top 10. Beldum is spawning lots and is great for PvE. Grimer, Syther and Pikachu are all very boosted shiny rate so go get them!

Tyrunt is there! But extremely rare. Compared to the ~56,000 we have seen so far today, only 3,000 Tyrunt have been seen. This is extremely low when you remember all of the additional spawns outside the top 10 also diluting the pool.

This is additionally why so many people are having issues with VPN's. I would strongly recommend not using a VPN at all for Pokémon Go, even if you are connecting location is in your own country. You risk a perm ban.
