Dead soldiers can’t rebel or spread the word about the hell they’re in.
A wounded Russian soldier in Ukraine says that people are being rushed to the front and his commanders have ordered that anyone who is wounded is to be shot or grenaded, as there is no evacuation. He pleads for someone to help him. (Thanks to @PStyle0ne1 for spotting this.)

Time is on the side of Ukraine.
There is absolutely no reason for Ukraine to negotiate with Russia, at all, for any reason, in the year 2025. Any negotiations should start in mid 2026, when the Russian economy has imploded, their deficits are blasting off to the moon, and Russia can no longer fight.

@ScurvyAvoider @peterrhague Inventions traveled back and forth between civilizations. Gunpowder was invented in China and reached Europe in 1200s, right where there's a big gap in the chart. In the same period, the Arabs gave us algebra and the numbers we use today.
