We certainly need “all hands on deck” on a Sunday! Feeding 127 people in a short space of time certainly keeps us busy! A number of referrals made to other services @PathDevon @shekinahmission . A HUGE thank you to the volunteers for their hard work we couldn’t do it without you.

An exceptionally busy morning @shekinahmission today with a high level of need. So many people trying to confirm whether or not they had accommodation now that SWEP was over. The team @PathDevon , @plymouthsouprun were really busy trying to feed, clothe and support 30+ people.

#Thankyou to Stoke Bar and Grill for the 60 sausage, mash, peas and gravy they provided for the Soup Run last night. Everyone was delighted. There were some very hungry people who tucked in immediately. Thanks to @HannahHoldgate for all her help @plymouthsouprun since #lockdown .

A different Sunday . We took the decision to serve the food outside rather than in @shekinahmission . Anna, from St Agnes, brought lots of food and we managed to get everything else needed. Great to have #PlymouthCommunityConnexions staff on the team. Total served 68. #caring

Great to have @LyndseyWithers back cooking on a Sunday. 88 people were served pasta bolognese or cheesy pasta bake, plus all the extras, including yogurt. Very busy at the start but when the rush dies down, time to listen, chat and catch up on people news. Thanks to the team.

Collecting & buying food, cooking, serving, tidying, going to the tip. @plymouthsouprun involves all these jobs & more. But most importantly our volunteers give their time to listen, support, help & care. Many thanks to the Sunday team who did all of the above & served 128 meals.

The last 3 nights have been quieter @plymouthsouprun .But when I say we only fed 95 people last night ( 54 @shekinahmission and 41 on the run) I remember when we used to feed about 70 on a Sunday. Numbers in 2019 are 15% higher than 2018. Thanks to the team . #foodpoverty

Thanks to everyone who helped on Monday night, preparing or serving the food to the 70+ people waiting. Sadly the dog, of one of our regulars, has died.He is heartbroken and wanted to talk to @streetvetuk about his loss and thank them for their help over the last few years.

Another generous donation for our Christmas appeal! Today we received a cheque for £100 from @WalterCParson Funeral Directors. We extend a big thank you to all who contributed, on behalf of our clients, many of whom find Christmas a difficult and lonely time of year.

Amazing food donations again. The salads and bread and butter pudding came from St Agnes and the fairy cakes and mini quiches from Ivybridge. Lots of food for the 93 people served. Due to the virus we operated an in/ out buffet service for the 77 @shekinahmission . it worked well

One aim in 2020 was to increase both the variety of food and the nutritional content served on the Soup Run as “We are conscious that we may be the only food our clients regularly access” .Thanks to #NibanaRestaurant for the delicious curry to serve on Monday. #communitysupport
