This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety. It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge. In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.

@GayBearRes My parents moved to Florida from the Midwest. When Dad got sick after several years there, they moved back to be closer to better medical care and family support. They were sad to leave but still had a wonderful time. Dad died with his family at his bedside.

@DrPatSoonShiong @latimes That’s what the League of Women Voters does. Editorials are to reflect the position of the editors and publishers. It’s to be an endorsement, not a review. Apparently, you can’t make up your mind and opted out in a cowardly way. Pick a side or stay irrelevant.

@AudieCornish She and Trump are going where voters are. There is new media out there and these platforms allow the candidates to connect. Not everyone is reading the NYT or watching CNN. It makes sense to go to where the voters are gathering.
