Understanding Cross Currencies
Cross Currencies are obtained by either multiplying/dividing two major pairs.
Let's use GBPJPY as an example.
See the screenshot below.
GBPUSD is GBP/USD while USDJPY is USD/JPY.
GBPJPY is simply (GBP/USD) * (USD/JPY).

With a leverage of 100:1, you need a little over $1,000 margin to take a position of 1 standard lot.
40 lots simply means that you need $40,000 thereabouts.
That's the smallest sized trade there. With 1,000:1 leverage, you still need $4,000 and each pip wld be $400.

Instead of depositing $20,000 with a broker, purchase an account that gives you $20,000 daily risk limit (or even maximum risk limit).
Purchasing a $200,000 prop account grants you the latter and costs just about $950

Having a car that can do 300 km/hr won't kill u bt driving at 200km/hr or even higher WITHOUT CONTROL.
Leverage is d 300km/hr (speed capacity) while lot size is the driver's speed.

About Market Structure
In a down trend, price makes lower lows and lower highs UNTIL a low is made which "looks" like a lower lower but is not one.
To be able to pick tops/bottoms, you need to know how to identify this pseudo high/low from whence a retracement/reversal begins.
