its surreal seeing another person talk about this but its basically canon koshi uses she/her on a male deer because she thinks its noko-tan and the vet misgenders her

not to mention how much ot the story is about how some people treat noko-tan differently just because shes a deer but eventually come around to her and the emphasis on if shes "a girl, a deer, or something in between"
dont think its intended but its interesting to read like this

just to add to my last post about this, the anime has brought so much more attention to the fact that noko-tan has antlers despite presenting fem
references to it are in the op and ed, her VA has pointed it out, and torako points them out in anime exclusive dialogue!
