I can’t think of anyone better than @TomRees_77 to lead this. SEND needs massive reform. This may upset many, but it’s utterly necessary. We can’t carry on with the current non-system, and understanding that SEND blends into mainstream is vital

Behaviour in schools is not a party political partisan topic, @tombennett71 knows his onions and they are not blue or red onions, just "behaviour onions"! We need him in a position where he can help schools improve standards and help make teacher's lives less stressful

Thank you @tombennett71 for making this important point! Yesterday I said farewell after 29 years teaching @KingsburyHigh, my leaving speech focussed on the importance of relationships but teachers need to use them to set high expectations. Being a "Do-Gooder" doesn't help anyone
This dopey but seductive motto is the root of many classroom management errors. If you aim for the students to like you, you’ll do anything to avoid upsetting them. But if you demonstrate high regard and high expectations, with structure, predictability and boundaries, they’ll respect you. Which will probably lead to them liking you.
