@BillieJeanKing He had an apartment in a building just down the street from mine in Manhattan, and I'd see him often walking toward Second Avenue, smiling warmly at people who greeted him. It made me feel special just knowing he was a neighbor. Classy dude.

Saints and angels among us
WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES. Two dogs were brought into our Free Vets clinic in Idlib today. Two dogs brought to us from a sanctuary in Aleppo.Two dogs in immense pain and desperately needing veterinary care. One female dog with huge cancerous tumours in her front leg. She was xrayed to see the extent of the damage. To save her life our vets amputated her leg. The second male dog was a stray. Two days ago he was shot with a rifle. The damage to his front leg was massive, the bone was shattered into many pieces. He also had to have his leg amputated. The dogs have pain relief and antibiotics and have returned to the sanctuary in Aleppo where they will convalesce. We We will update you all when we have news. We are lucky to have such skilled vets. We are lucky to have your support and hope you will continue to help us to provide such vital services to all the animals that need us. We can't do this without you.
