And that’s because of the positions they kept/tried to keep black men in. That’s part of our cycle and culture in this country. A white coworker told me once that they’re taught to invest and that’s it. And he was proud of that being his culture/cycle because it worked.

My mom was in and out when I was younger and I remember a teacher telling me something similar one day and it changed my life. She told me that the beauty in my situation is that I get to determine the woman I become with no outside interference. I wish all black girls had this.

Also, check with your local public hospital to see if they have an emergency protocol for people on the verge. If you’re in Atlanta, Grady has a psych department where they will keep you for 24 hours. It’s a crazy experience, but they saved my life in 2017.
