I love it when manufacturers go to the extreme purely for performance, motorsport and entertainment value.
This sort of thing is becoming rarer and rarer sadly.
An 800hp 5.2L Supercharged V8… Bravo Ford!
Running a small business providing a valuable service to those who appreciate it.
What more could you ask for!
M3 left me and the owner hadn’t seen it until today.
“Just spend a day on it please”
I could see the potential so spent 3 on it at no extra cost.

For the same event a McLaren F1. I’ve maintained the appearance of this particular car for quite some time now and it never ceases to amaze me how incredible they are the closer you look.

29 years ago, family and friends told me not to bother getting into valeting. Ok, I haven’t made millions but I can look back at an immensely enjoyable career and have met incredible people that give me the energy to continue. Let’s hope I can keep going for another 29.
Every time I work on this car I’m stunned by the quality of every single component. It’s hard to compare it to anything else I’ve ever worked on.
McLaren F1 finished.
With a formal £10,000 loan off my dad I set up Perfection Valet on this day back in 1989.
It’s been a phenomenal journey that I hope will continue for many more years.
Thank you for your continued support and positivity.
Today a Porsche 997 GTS that has just undergone a one-off bespoke restoration by AutoFarm.
The owner had covered over 140,000 miles in it from new and couldn’t bring himself to sell it, so instead built his own dream car from what was already his dream car.
Lovely.
I’d love to understand the mentality of a driver leaving a slip road onto an empty motorway, going straight across lane one, straight into lane two then sitting there at 55mph?
Soon to be the PV HQ.
A training centre for DIY, Amateurs and Professionals. Also a facility for clients to bring there cars to me as an alternative to me going to them.
I’ve also accumulated a vast array of memorabilia over the years which I can now have on display.
Whilst working on this Porsche Carrera GT I had the pleasure of bumping into JK. Although I’d worked on plenty of his cars, mainly when they came up for sale, I’d never actually met him. He was very humbled when I asked him to sign my van…

I’ll never stop being drawn to the utterly bonkers 6R4. So many fond memories of watching them in period. Especially the British Rallycross at Brands late in the year. As a kid it was always a reminder that Xmas wasn’t far off…
This car remains my most popular post. The BMW E30 M3 Ravaglia is 1 of just 25 examples and was brought to PVHQ for the works. No expense or time spared.

There’s no denying, the McLaren F1 is full of ingenious engineering. One design that often gets overlooked are the luggage compartments either side, in front of the rear wheels…
Such an intricate design to work on.. Curves, corners, edges, all in very close proximity.. Challenging but rewarding.
Lancia Integrale Evo ll finished.
McLaren F1 finished.
If you are going to the Festival of Speed next week then pop by ‘The Drivers Club’ enclosure near the Cartier Lawn.
Well worth having a good look at one of these if you’ve not seen one before...
So the 456 behaved itself! Not sure on the cause? Possibly a leather feed reaction or I did wonder if someone had used paint polish by mistake.
I used steam, brushes, leather cleaners and soaps..
Every now and then a little gem is booked in. This Clio 16v had two days spent on it as the owner believed it would be very worth while.
He wasn’t wrong..

Everytime I work on a McLaren F1 I notice more exquisite detail. Today was no different.
Look at this tiny little chain that activates the throttle linkage...
