@BreeSolstad I'm a Protestant and would never, ever say that Mary is a demon. Please don't generalise based on the insane people you find on X. Most protestants accept Catholics as fellow believers with a different faith tradition and that's really the end of it.

@TomaszDecker @adelethelaptop Given he was a human I'd say he was guilty of a whole lot more than that.

@SandwichTim @BreeSolstad @adelethelaptop I disagree. Not that one needs humility to admit wrong, but that this is the exclusive domain of Protestants. It is the differences within protestant practice that ensures I hold my beliefs with humility, acknowledging that what I believe may one day be exposed as false.

@adelethelaptop Thankful for the blood of Christ who died for sins once for all, making himself a propitiation and absorbing wrath I rightfully deserved. If other people want to believe they are working their sin off on working their salvation on it's their loss I guess.

@ProjectMysticDV Why? Unless you believe that literally the water saves you it shouldn't matter when that water gets applied.

@mjones909909 @NeuschwabiaDev @riecker He was teaching his disciples a pattern and foundation for prayer. I reckon he'd include everything important.

@DreDawgg98 @riecker Once they had the big stuff out of the way I'd say the less important stuff came to the fore. It's not disparaging Mary to say that she had sex with her husband *unless* you think that married people having sex is sinful.

@DreDawgg98 @jbarrychristian @riecker They do have words for extended family relationships, that's just silly.

@MachineElfLogic @DaveAdrift @Pada1r @ericslims @riecker I don't think God makes random choices. The mother of Jesus could not be randomly chosen, she was faithful, obedient and blessed. She was also human, sinful and in need of a saviour.

@BobbyKam67 @riecker I'm protestant and don't find it odd. Take a largely illiterate populace who are taught by the established church to pray to Mary and I dare say they will. Give all people the bible and teach them to read and they will probably stop.

@riecker Since they couldn't read, didn't have scripture and had to rely on what the established church told them, no. Not at all.

@DaveAdrift @BreeSolstad God is the pillar of truth. The church is made of sinful, fallible but forgiven humans. We are completely unreliable.

@RedlandsTParty @Running_Ryan @LakeLouise1988 @JackPosobiec or isn't is exactly what Jesus was preaching against. This just reminds me of those who preach what itching ears want to hear. I bet when anyone is in trouble they are happy to take help from wherever it comes. /2

@DisrespectedThe In a lot of countries it says at the top of an escalator NOT to put prams and wheelchairs on there. You can see how dangerous this is.

@JoshDaws What a load of garbage. The Samaritan was the opposite of the Jewish neighbour. The Jewish neighbours just walked on by past the poor injured man. So they all ignored the moral proximity of the closer bond.
