More discussions like this please. Great breakdown on this thread here. My only disagreement would be that Shesterkin is clearly better than Sorokin. I view them as equal. He makes a lot of good points.

@cmarch2_ @DynoDangle I’ve watched some Shesterkin games this year. IMO he’s not definitively better as of right now. Their reg season stats are identical while the Rangers have had a better team. Overall I’m right there with you on the 4-8 we just don’t agree on this comp which is fine.

@DynoDangle @cmarch2_ I totally disagree with this nonsense the goalie doesn’t matter. Tampa doesn’t win back to back without Vasi Bobrovsky was a big part the last 2 years in the playoffs. Sorokin doesn’t have this as of now. Yes some of it is team some of it was him though.

@cmarch2_ @DynoDangle Shesterkin and Sorokin have basically the same career save percentage and the Rangers don’t stand around on defense. I don’t think he’s definitely better but I will agree he needs to perform better In the playoffs to be the top 3. I think 4-8 is about right.
