animation tip: animation is not print. You will output to video, not a printed image. So you don’t need to work on a large canvas with a high dpi. This will just limit your number of layers/frames. Here are my canvas settings for a standard widescreen format:

Does anyone else miss comics that look like comics? I think sales of comics would be better if there was less photo-realism and more cartooning. Readers want to feel connected to characters and action, they don’t want to live in the uncanny valley.

I finally escaped from the hospital yesterday after 8 days in the neurosurgery wing of the U of M hospital (18 pounds lighter than when I went in)!
But I’m not out out of the woods yet. I’m still on antibiotics so I don’t get Space Madness, so they made me a little bit

I’m still in hospital, dealing with a leaky brain (true story). I think I only have a few more days left to stay in this place and then I’ll be headed home (but not quite out of the woods 🤷♂️).

Huge thanks to the doctors, nurses, and med techs who saved my life, healed my weakened body, and kept me safe over the last few days as I had a large tumor removed from my brain and spent subsequent days recovering from the trauma. You are my heroes. ❤️

Since my brain surgery, my eyesight has returned completely. It’s amazing. It’s like I see in 4K now. I watched one of my favorite movies last night: REAR WINDOW. It was like seeing it for the first time. I can’t wait to watch more movies and experience them this way. ❤️🎥

An update on Otis from Kate (wife): With persistent head pain, mild fevers, and nose drips that are likely spinal fluid, we went to the ER, he was admitted for overnight. He may be back to the OR to repair a leaky surgery site. Send all the positive healing energy you can spare.
I’m home from the hospital after my 2nd brain surgery in 3 years. It was a much rougher 3 and 1/2 days in hospital than I anticipated. But I finally escaped.
I’m starting to finally go through all of your well wishes, so let me just say… thank you. 💙

UPDATE!
It’s been 30 days since I got home from my 30 day hospital nightmare. I’ve made small improvements during that time as I slowly recover, and some big ones⬇️
A month ago I could barely walk without the aid of a walker. Now I’m fully mobile. So that’s something. 👍😬

I’m looking all Darth Sidious because the 3rd surgery I had last month involved making me look a little Frankentein’s monster-ish on the top of my head and I don’t want to scare the kiddos. It’s okay… my hair will grow back. 😬

-This is Day 20 in hospital and I’m climbing the walls, so also send Jedi to break me out. I can pay 2000 now, plus 15 when we reach Alderaan.
