@living_in_greys @MsCaShawn Parenthood really makes a lot of childhood trauma resurface.. parents will either see themselves as a victim to their childrens needs or they’ll become aware of their triggers & use parenthood as a portal to healing. Unfortunately it’s often the former instead of the latter

@jacksaint101 Young boys are conditioned to have no respect or interest in all things feminine, so why would they grow up to actually be interested in women. If a young boy is friends with a girl, adults immediately frame it as a crush. Its no wonder why men don’t see women as equal humans

@SuperSexyStarr @EarthToGazelle @xoxosymoneb Hitting kids doesnt make them respectful or well mannered. It teaches them how to act those ways when it will benefit them. Respect is established by treating children with respect, not by beating them. Older kids who act out are lacking role models who know how to model respect

@SuperSexyStarr @EarthToGazelle @xoxosymoneb If you show kids what genuine respect looks like, that’s how they learn. If you seek to control them by physically harming them, you’re teaching them that manipulation is how to get what you want out of life. Society makes that clear. 70% of parents still hit kids

@ohhDee__ @Tallulah_Chanel It shouldn’t be used at all. It’s not healthy to manipulate children’s behavior with fear and pain. If spanking in any form and any circumstance was outlawed, fewer children would suffer. But as long as we leave it up for interpretation, children will always suffer.

@asvplinda Idk why people expect children to be naturally obedient. They need to understand why the expectations are there, they need to test boundaries, they need someone modeling the expectations instead of acting like an animal when they aren’t met, and they need time to develop habits.
