some people made some timely reblogs of this illustration i did as a commission for
@kathrynthehuman
several years ago. Zelda drawing the master sword to go on her own adventure
In other comic news, I have just 2 copies left of Rey Days and won't be printing any more of this one, either.
Rey Days is a series of comic stories about Rey growing up on Jakku. Previews and store in this thread, but here's the cover art!
My Reylo comic, Star Crusin', is now available for free digital download!
Rose and Rey infiltrate a galactic starcruiser with the First Order and find General Hux trying to hook up Kylo with a rich bride to help fund the First Order's takeover of the galaxy. Chaos follows.
I've got 3 copies left of Treacherous Hearts, the first reylo comic I ever did. It's got 13 colour pages and 31 black and white comic pages, but here's a preview to the colour pages, which I did in actual watercolour (phew haha).
"Keep a Light On" is my Ben Solo comic. It's short stories about his life right before and after becoming a child padawan to his uncle. A cathartic project I did after... you know... that movie lol
My December store highlights continue! Today, here's three pages from Star Cruisin' the reylo comic I finished this year.
Rey and Rose board a cruise ship to spy on the First Order, inadvertently discovering that Hux is trying to find Kylo a rich bride. Hijinks ensue.
"Death is a Lie"is the fix-it comic I started in December 2019, another catharsis project. It is actually available for free as a digital comic, but I have printed copies available, too. L*inks in next tweets
I didn't get to this comic on the weekend: "But What If We Lived" is an alternative (happy) ending to Rise of Skywalker. Its 74 pages, full colour, and I have several print copies still left! L*ink in next tweet.
Rise of Rose is my comic about Rose Tico (of course!). This was a fun comic to make, one of my favourites, and a fix it comic to canon mixed with some fun gingerose content. Rose is just fun to write.
I have 3 copies left that need good homes. L*ink in next tweet.
Made another video showing what my printed colour comics look like! Here’s “But What If We Lived”, my “Ben Lives” alternative ending to the sequel trilogy:
I’ve said it before but I like the idea that palpatine planted false memories for Rey to create a fake familial bond with her. It’s what I would have done as an evil villain. She craved parents like catnip. It’s one of her weaknesses.
My December art highlights/sale continues! It's Aerith Wednesday. She was completed in May/June of this year as I tried to up my colour game while also getting to do something I've been trying for year: a nice portrait of Aerith.
I've got prints available! See next post.
Older art from the cover of Treacherous Hearts, my very first reylo comic. And it looks like I've only got 3 printed copies left. Trying to find homes for my older print comics and retire them.
"At the End of a String" is a reylo comic I did in 2018. It's a mismash of alternative universe stories told by the urchins in Canto Bight, like Smuggler Ben Solo, Empress Rey, and Traitor the First Order Ben (my fave is smuggler Ben). I have a few copies left that need homes!
Got my mom The Hurricane Wars for Christmas and she loved it. I had to reassure her that
@theagwrites
is going to write more.
“She’s going to write more, right? I was left on a cliffhanger and want to know what happens.” -My Mom
I’ll be at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival this weekend along with a bunch of my Star Wars comics. A lotta reylo! Including copies of stuff I thought I was sold out of. AND I’ll have free rey and kylo sparkly stickers
"Secrets" is my almost-all colour comic from late 2019 (the beforetimes!). It's a story in 3 parts, plus a bonus chapter. I have several copies left from my last print run, which will be the very last for these comics. L*ink in next tweet.
New Ganondorf stans. Let me introduce you to his moms: Koume and Kotake. They are twin witches. They aren't his bio moms, but raised him. In Wind Waker, Ganondorf wields twin swords with their names engraved on them.
shoutout to all the reylos who came by my table. trust me that there are a lot of us in real life, and kind, considerate reylos too! you were all lovely and, most importantly, not alone. ❤️❤️❤️
I have some copies of "Keep a Light On", my Ben Solo comic, still available in my shop. I won't be printing any more after this last batch is sold out. (l*nk to shop plus more previews in next tweets)
Would like to add one more thing to this post. I did this follow up illustration of Zelda kitted out for dungeon battles, fighting a giant octorok. I like the idea of her having lil korok helpers.
I had some recent orders of Rise of Rose, my Rose Tico fan comic (with some GingerRose!) and I have a few copies left and won't be printing any more after this batch sells out. So I'll drop some preview pages and a link to my store in this thread. And here's the cover lol
I did this one several years ago, liked the colouring, but the anatomy was whack and for some reason (laziness) I couldn't figure it out. Therefore, I'm taking another stab at it. So here's Zelda in her prayer robes from BOTW
Oh yeah, I did finish my zelgan comic yesterday. Did I mention that? Oh well. It still needs a cover and stuff. I'll have that done by mid May. Here's some preview pages again:
A close up of my Zelda dragon pic from earlier this year. I was going to post it yesterday, then LOL. This is watercolour and pencil crayon, and about 10x16 inches.
Comic is done, so I'm just working on a cover. Maybe done tomorrow or Wednesday, but I'm getting my flu/COVID shot this week, so hopefully I won't get worn out by that!
@nonprofitssay
"They will now proceed to spend the next six months picking pointless fights with junior staff and repeatedly asking them to explain their jobs because they believe their corporate experience allows them mystical insight into 'what's wrong' with the non-profit industry."
Not to get too deep into the debate, but reading about how some Star Wars creatives (not dropping names but, you know...) talk about their process almost feels like they're trying to work in a bunch of characters like trying to keep as many randos happy as possible.
