Impactfulness

Before we discuss this urgent issue that demands an immediate decision, I'd like to nitpick about process.

Our new AI meeting facilitator just led us through an exercise where I had to talk with a finance admin about the last time I cried.

The person who called this meeting that starts in five minutes suddenly has something else to do but would like the group to meet anyway and share the notes with her.

For this new position, we are only accepting applications from people who have washed out of their corporate careers.

We're going to do a Post-It exercise where we share an instance where each failed to collaborate.

We are committed to making a better life for historically underserved communities. Also, we are going to work with the new Administration on durable solutions to the problems we all face.

The Executive Director has said that talking about our learnings doesn't show strength. From now on we talk about our knowings.

We know Election Day will be stressful for many of you, but we nonetheless need you to complete your online sexual harassment training by 5p.

Reminder that we are not allowing costumes in the office until our Party Planning Committee, which now includes the CEO and a board member, can determine a new policy on that.

Staff: Will you pay our parking costs? ED: It really wouldn’t be helping the cause if we paid staff to drive. Staff: Will you pay for public transit? ED: No

This project practically doesn’t cost anything, just staff time.

While this is obviously a great idea that will have immediate positive impact, we have decided to postpone implementation until we know for sure if it can scale.
