Chunks of the SDP membership will disagree with you on that, and that’s just how it is. Many do believe we should be working with the likes of reform and reclaim, evident by the SDP/Reform electoral pact - i only see good in the parties working together

May and Johnson only called the election to increase their majorities, obviously backfiring on May. May had a 21 point lead at the time she called an election, and Johnson a 11 point lead. The next PM is an average of 7 points behind in the polls and doesnt need to increase seats
