Apparently, his accent is based on the Tohoku and or Nagoya dialect(s); from what I was researching. I plan to do more when possible — but it always struck me interested.
So, I figured out that Goku’s accent in Japanese is probably the equivalent of an Alabama country man. It is definitely Southern but I wouldn’t think it’s be Texan or anything else.

When Krillin died, Toriyama didn't bring him solely to die, he helped through the battle and was part of the main cast during the Freeza arc. He happened to be an unexpected casualty of the battle.
