I teach this every year in my classes
A better rule to keep in mind would be 'The key to good stories is change'. Transformation. Change provokes conflict between groups. It requires adaptation. People are forced to overcome challenges, and that can be dramatic. People confronting challenges is dramatic.

@JaredMezzocchi Sorta like the shift from CDs to mp3, the music industry had so much trouble adapting to a model that wasn’t pegged to their CD/album prices.

@JaredMezzocchi Ran into this issue when we showed off the Stagecast platform—it simply looked like a pre-recorded streamed show. Our backstage and technology was invisible, and we should have made it more obvious to the audience.
