Data is the new gold! Data is the new oil was the slogan that I always heard, but the new gold works too. As we watched the mayhem over the weekend around AI models and DeepSeek, the one thing that becomes more and more clear is that the most valuable part of the equation is the data! The biggest data & information services companies are buying every unique data asset they can find. The smart new startups are building unique data assets or finding ways to get exclusivity to unique data.

Crypto trading feels like 2020 again. Phone calls and texts “how do I buy $TRUMP?” “Is @MrBeast launching a coin on Solana?” Funny how the world of meme trading has swung from $ETH to $SOL but the frenzy and confusion and FOMO is circa 2020 again. At least now we have safer places to trade these coins.
