@Santa_Lenin @Unreal_Kev It definitely would be interesting. My thoughts are just based on the possibility that people end up losing jobs and the revenue that circulates locally reduces and the jobs that creates also get affected.

@justcallmebwana Physical presence makes all the difference. Airtel, MTN and Zedmobile employ Zambians who spend their salaries in Zambia. These organizations also have CapX and OpX which is spent in Zambia. Starlink will give better service but a gap will potentially be created. We will feel it.

@Santa_Lenin @Unreal_Kev I don’t know those numbers but I do know that the MNO’s employ a lot of Zambians in comparison to Starlink based on the fact that they are physically present here. As well as their operations also generate money within the economy due to the fact that they are here.

@Unreal_Kev So if govt was to push Starlink to come in and set up shop locally, that would mean they directly employ Zambians and contribute more to the economy like the already existing MNO’s then it will be even more of a win for Zambians.
