That’s how I remember it too. My dad would drive to Gaza on the odd occasion he needed to buy something from there. He chatted to them in Arabic. Everyone was civil. Jews and arabs weren’t best mates, but we certainly didn’t kill one another either

It’s so sad. My son starts university next week. He is pretty excited, he went in today for orientation. He called me, his voice shaking, unsure of how to deal with the overwhelming, aggressive, in your face, antisemitism. This should have been a happy first day at university.
