That’s terrifying. A ton of Jewish patients are managed at that hospital. Respiratory therapists are often involved in critical situations requiring urgent interventions (intubation, cardiac arrests). VERY concerning.

Internal medicine in Ontario (Canada) is even more lucrative. Average about 8-10k per night shift (4pm-8am, 16h shift). 2 shifts per week x 4 weeks = 80k per month. X 12 months = 960k per year. To work 8 shifts a month! Even with the needed 1-3d recovery post shift it’s unreal!

Yea to be honest as a physician myself, it wouldn’t make sense to “sedate an IV infusion”. You can increase the sedation via the infusion but a doctor wouldn’t use those terms
