Sad to report that Jim Smith, the head boys coach at Chantilly, stepped down today. Smith has almost 500 career wins and has been at Chantilly for almost three decades. A huge blow to NOVA hoops and to basketball coaching in general. Congrats Coach Smith on an amazing career!

And that's the bottom line. If there was no basketball the kids would still be congregating...you can go to Springfield Mall any day to see that. Let them continue to congregate in a controlled environment (high school sports) that has countless positive effects.
The past two nights were big. We played games for the first time since March. No spectators we wore masks but WE PLAYED. We played successfully. We had wins/losses but WE PLAYED. Love my kids/athletes and watching them play..I missed it. Can’t wait for more
