I don't know Marks financial situation and wouldn't presume to second guess him. I'm acutely aware that for millions of people in the US and other countries having 3 months rent saved is a place they can only dream of, pay rates and rents being what they are.

I believe the important point is that large numbers of Americans are quite happy for this to happen. There are some serious divisions in the U.S. which need to be addressed. Can the Democrats take a hard look at what has happened and improve this ?

It is the rail company bosses responsibility to provide a service, not Micks.This dispute should have been sorted out a long time ago. Take it up with them if you are not receiving the service you feel you have a right to.

...but presumably you would also like, decent healthcare options, a good education system, properly staffed and maintained hospitals, a well organised Police service, Army, Navy, Air force, immigration service. Your refuse collected, an NHS option for elderly care etc.....

I took some stuff to my mums care home, when they opened the door she was a few yards away, she's blind and they told her I was there, she said " are you being a good boy" I replied " no" she turned to the carer and said " he's never been a good boy, always naughty"

U.S. policing definitely requires some improvement especially when dealing with the black community but Russian policing is on whole different level , many of these people are risking they and their families lives , it just doesn't happen on camera.

This is part of the problem, these are real people with genuine issues, they feel they have no voice, Trump offered them a voice ( crazy though it was). Trump may go away but the people and their issues aren't going anywhere.

I love the way that people who have never experienced left wing politics I.e the U.S. let alone socialism are all experts on the pros and cons of it. In the U.K. we have an N.H.S which provides free healthcare for all and a police force that means we aren't scared or armed .
