With the release of very good generative AI for coding, and seeing that tools like Bolt really do make coding more accessible to the masses, I've been having an identity crisis because being a great coder has been *my thing*. But then I realized, just because most people can read and write English, does NOT mean most people can write great novels. Just like LLM's aren't about to replace a JK Rowling, LLM coding won't replace great coders. It'll just make them faster.

@TRHLofficial Speaking for myself, I wouldn’t even consider the girl on the right. The girl on the left, yes. The girl on the right looks like bad video filters. But everyone has a preference, some people like the fake, overdone, plastic look. Just not me.

@SMB_Attorney Yes. You’re planning to declare bankruptcy, but you need to wait long enough so the court doesn’t think you just ran up your debts immediately before declaring, which I think is illegal if done on purpose.

@ChombaBupe I think the relevant question is can these systems help accelerate human research? Think about it. There’s more information being produced every minute than a human could consume in a lifetime.

@hewarsaber Amazing. You were the one who did the Microsoft rebrand a few years ago for fifty million right?

@DanielPriestley American expat here. I’ve got a lot of Brits in my timeline for some reason. The US isn’t as bad as European countries, but the same forces are in play in my country.

@adrian_horning_ @GergelyOrosz Have you considered using Whop? I don't know what they charge, but it's pretty good. I normally hate these kind of products.

Yes. It's cheaper to just not have insurance, and fly to other countries for medical care. Like, a lot cheaper. All you really need is catastrophic insurance in case you get hit by a bus or get cancer, but they don't allow that. But seriously, it's cheaper to just not buy health insurance and fly to other countries for care and pay out of pocket.

@GaelBreton Wordpress has been a hot mess for a long time now. The ONLY reason to use it has been its vast adoption. But the platform itself is shit. You need a plugin to do basic stuff. You shouldn't need 10 plugins just to make it speedy.

I've almost entirely stopped using Google Search. I still use Google Docs -- it's very useful, and Gmail, and YouTube. My default search engine is now DDG, but even then most of the time I just ask ChatGPT. It satisfies my informational need about 95% of the time. That leaves navigational queries -- which DDG does fine for.... So my belief if Google will be ultra-profitable for years to come as their share of search traffic declines. Because they are going to a zero click environment which will enable them to make a LOT more money, even with decreasing search traffic. Currently I don't think there is a viable replacement for AdWords. It seems inevitable to me, at this point, that in 5 years people will predominantly be using LLM's for what previously was handled by search. And ChatGPT has first-mover advantage here. But I wouldn't count Google out. I mean, look at Microsoft. With the right leadership, Google as a corporation will be fine. The real question is: does Google have a Satya Nadella that can manage this transition? I'm convinced the current leadership at Google isn't really up to the task. They need to restructure their entire organization -- it's wildly inefficient. And they need to focus on legitimately great user experiences -- which is falling short.

Did the Biden admin was more concerned about pronouns over fentanyl. I don’t know if Trumps actions will work: but at least it’s a priority.

So if you fly Spirit -- there's a trick that used to work. Don't know if it still does. Next time you're checking in for a Spirit flight, tell them you want to buy the cheapest ticket to X. I used to get $19 tickets from San Diego to Denver to visit a client. But you have to do it in person.

I'm getting tired of the "OpenAI just released X, here's 10 mind blowing things 99.99% of the population doesn't know" posts.

It's doable. I'm not available for projects like this. Before DeepSeek's pricing, I would have considered this too expensive to use AI for -- better off a more traditional approach. But I'm doing something similar -- creating a seed database of about 3,000,000 domains that have a "careers" page, using AI to parse the html into usable JSON. Eventually I'm going to run AI locally on my own servers, but it's faster to just use API's. If speed of development is more important than cost, I'd use commercial API scrapers to grab the page, then DeepSeek to process. But if you need to do tens of thousands or more pages, then it's more economical in the long run to run your own scrapers. But if you're putting this data into a sheets doc I suspect it's not very many URL's.

@TheSalesBull1 @ezmoneyguy You guys heard of anybody being successful and really happy with the "AI SDR's" that we're hearing so much about? I'm against them, personally. But just because I dislike the idea doesn't mean it's not working. As a PROSPECT, how would you react to being cold called by an AI?

@Floridian_Life @Save_A_Man You are a high quality woman. I am legitimately concerned for the younger people because they are being force fed false narratives by, I don't know what but it's not bad, about what is good and worth pursuing.

You see this a lot with younger guys. If you look at it from an anthropological perspective, they are pursuing social status. Having an expensive cologne, fancy car, overpriced watch and designer clothes signals that they are successful, highly desirable men. Or at least that's the (conscious or unconscious) thought process. Here's the hard truth. A quality woman won't care about those things. Those things won't make you happy, at best you'll get an endorphin hit when you first buy it -- but this will quickly fade. As a man, if you value family, pursue excellence and chase experiences and you'll be happy.
