Impenetrable is a bit strong but I agree communicating the same results for different audiences is an important part of science communication.
Academic papers are for communication within an academic field or even subfield. This makes them impenetrable to those outside the field. But the solution isn’t to make all communication accessible to everyone. It’s to reward & support accessible communication as its own thing!
