i've been thinking about that too! what clicked for me was the realization that we always end up with the most likely outcomes out of all possible future states however, if we ask questions or use it for reflection, we can expand the scope of what we notice and consider and prevent confirming poor input

one fascinating way to align with language models is to make their interpretations explicit not only does this help users understand how the llm interprets their input, but it also allows for the refinement of both intent and prompts try it out here:
