Created this AE animation rig for the Valorant agent names to stay consistent in style and length during our 3 month rollout (1 per week). Each name only has 5-15 keyframes they go through a series of adjustment layers and time fx. #valorant 🌊🌊

Once I had figured out the animation style, I just went harder and harder with each name. The @quasimondo part took me so long lol. I wasn't nearly as fast at keyframing back then, all letters done one by one. 😅

This is the cleanest AE file you’ve ever built. Someone will open it one day and gasp at how organized your comps are. God. Even the folder structure is so intuitive. Oh. you even color coded the text and the editable layers. This is a great way to spend your Friday night.

Part of creating 10 VCT sub brands at once meant creating unique looks and treatment for each of the International Leagues and how they would look in motion. a few I made: regular VCT, Pacific, America & EMEA. Interchangeable images, looping. #vct #valorant #VALORANTMasters

I think this is only happening since updating to AE 2024 but i constantly need to purge memory now. Even at quarter res. i preview 5 frames and it stops. I dont think my settings are wrong. help?

Besides the big ones (GSG, SoM, vCopilot etc), what are good channels to follow/subscribe for learning motion? (YouTube/Patreon/else) AE or 3D. Been finding some great ones from individual artists lately which makes me think there are many hidden gems out there. pls drop links ⬇️.

Reviewing portfolios and seeing so many fake client projects. ppl making spec renders and tagging the brand as if its official commission work goes straight on the grifters list. No decent studio hire ppl lying to get ahead. At least write its spec work instead of ~work for.

@RaviVora mm. absolutely hate working for music industry. all of them are cheap af and trying to squeeze you, but tbh most ppl agree to do these terrible deals to do music videos in hopes they blow up just like that. This is a very rare case where “working for exposure” is probably better.

For some of the MTVCribs animated grid layouts ( ) we used the very excellent plugin FLEX by @zlovatt → big time saver when creating complex grid stuff we would otherwise rig by hand with mattes and pre-comps. ✨

Animated this motion test last year for Polar. The titles were originally planned to be at the beginning of the movie with this song but we scrapped it. Tried to animate with no position interpolation/keyframes. Just hard cuts, turning letters on/off.
