@Delilah15707758 Hi Catherine NHSBT is part of the National Health Service and as such is non-profit-making. However, hospitals are charged for the blood they receive in order to recover the costs of collecting, processing, testing and distributing it to these hospitals. - Satty

There is an urgent need for blood - especially O negative and B negative blood types. We are calling on blood donors to book an appointment to donate as soon as possible. There are 11,000 appointment slots that need to be filled to help save lives. ➡️

👏 Starting the new year in style! We were delighted to host @BrumLordMayor yesterday, to welcome our first plasma donors of 2025. Councillor Ken Wood visited our Birmingham Plasma Donor Centre to thank those who began the year with a donation and to meet our dedicated staff.
