My dream is for Africa to become the most technologically advanced continent in my lifetime π! It will take a good educational foundation to get there πͺ! With @Eazi_Code, weβre just getting started π₯π₯π₯!
7:23am, 1 July 2024, she asked if I was a motivational speaker. Today she's traveling with me to watch me give a motivational speech to the @Eazi_Code students, as my wife π. Total cost of 3 month bootcamp was +R100k. We've done it for free for our students. Also secured prizes such as laptops and tablets for the students. Very excited for today πͺ! #codeTodayLeadTomorrow #coding #development #learning

The iPhone is actually a great product with some unique selling points. The cameras have always been great and the Apple ecosystem is unraveled. AI is a commodity. People are not loyal to a model. If decent AI becomes available in the tools I already use, I have no reason to look for chatgpt. Software devs are already plugging in deepseek models in their existing app. The end user won't even know it happened.

One way to spot if someone understands a complex concept is how well they can explain it to a layman. Great explanation here for those who are curious about deepseeks impact πͺ!
@baba_nyenyedzi Sam built a roller coast and made it sound complex only running on jet fuel. He charged a premium for a ride. Xi then built a same roller coaster giving the same experience but it ran on water and he made it free to everyone and even gave people the blueprint to build their own.

πππ I absolutely agree with you on Sam Altman being a great salesperson and deal maker. But I think at the end of the day, the market forces will win. Consumers will gravitate towards better and more affordable products. Whether the consumers are developers using AI models or users using apps that utilise AI. Only time will tell though, so keen to have this conversation again with you in 6 months time π.

@begottensun @sama Yea, keep saying this. The winner in the AI race will be the implementors of useful AI features in existing products. The open source community will win democratise access to good models.
