Great example about the back flip...hard to do something when you don't have the skills...yet. Focusing on the "how to" and breaking tasks down into small, achievable parts are key. Skills are built, not born!
The steps necessary for completing a task often aren’t obvious to kids with ADHD, and defining them clearly ahead of time makes a task less daunting and more achievable.
