I think a lot of people mistake the Democratic partyโs preference for incremental change as ideological, rather than institutional. Democrats are limited as to what they can achieve by the structure of the United States, and I fully believe theyโd aim to achieve more in Europe.
I see we're doing another round of "Democrats would be right-wing in Europe", which is both and severely downplays the threat that right-wing Europeans parties pose to democracy. And democracies in Europe are a hell of a lot more fragile than America's.
