When comparing Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) and Mutual Funds, several key differences and similarities can help guide your investment decisions: Structure and Trading: ETFs: Traded on an Exchange: ETFs can be bought and sold throughout the trading day at market prices, similar to stocks. Intraday Trading: This allows for more flexibility, including the use of limit orders, stop-loss orders, and short selling. Lower Minimum Investment: Since you can buy just one share, the entry point can be much lower, depending on the share price. Mutual Funds: Traded Once a Day: Mutual fund transactions are processed at the end of the trading day at the net asset value (NAV) calculated after the market closes. Higher Minimum Investment: Often require a higher minimum investment to start, although some funds might offer lower or no minimums for IRA accounts or through certain platforms. Costs: ETFs: Expense Ratios: Generally have lower expense ratios compared to actively managed mutual funds due to passive management. Brokerage Commissions: Might incur a commission for buying or selling, though many brokers now offer commission-free ETF trades. Bid-Ask Spread: There's also the cost of the spread between the buying and selling price of the ETF shares. Mutual Funds: Expense Ratios: Can vary widely, with actively managed funds often having higher expense ratios than index funds. No Commissions: Typically do not charge commissions to buy or sell, but might have sales loads or redemption fees. Tax Efficiency: ETFs: Generally more tax-efficient due to their structure. The creation/redemption mechanism of ETF shares minimizes capital gains distributions. Mutual Funds: Can be less tax-efficient, especially if they have high turnover or if investors redeem shares, potentially forcing the fund to sell assets and realize capital gains. Investment Strategy: ETFs: Predominantly track indexes, offering broad market exposure or very specific sectors or themes. They are mostly passively managed. Mutual Funds: Can be either actively or passively managed. Active management aims to outperform the market, but this comes with higher fees and potentially higher risk. Diversification and Investment Options: Both ETFs and mutual funds offer a way to diversify investments. ETFs might provide more niche or sector-specific options, while mutual funds might offer a broader range of actively managed strategies. Accessibility: ETFs are available to anyone with a brokerage account, providing easy access. Mutual Funds might be restricted to certain platforms or require direct investment through the fund company. Conclusion: Choose ETFs if you prefer flexibility in trading, lower costs, tax efficiency, and you're comfortable with market-based pricing. Choose Mutual Funds if you value professional management, are investing for the long term, or prefer a simpler buying process without worrying about intraday price movements. Ultimately, the choice depends on your investment goals, strategy, preference for management style, cost considerations, and how actively you wish to manage your investments. Both vehicles can serve well in a diversified investment portfolio....

@imYadav31 Hope this helps
#Amex Gold charge card came for fee review : Useful for negotiation ⤵️ 💸Fees was charged on my Gold card and called up Amex to review the same 👉 Initially spoke about the offers available in lieu of fees 1. Straight 50% waiver without any frills attached 2. Pay the fees using MR points of around 18k 📌It's quite normal that many will get these two options only.. Talk to them again for spend based waiver. They will internally review ur profile on call and can offer a 3rd option too (varies from account to account) 3. Spend 1 lac in 90 days to get complete fee waiver 💪Third option is always beneficial since u get double dipping here by spending and fees also being waived.. 🔥I tried asking them to convert any of my existing Amex cards to lifetime free. To this iam told that LTF policy is completely removed since covid and it's system based LTF offered to many loyal customers based on various parameters.. ✅Hope this post helps the needy in a stronger negotiation skill and ability to choose the right offer 🔁RT for awareness 📌Pls explore my microsite to apply for any credit card and help maintain the handle earn some commission (includes Amex referral too, I earn 8k points) ⤵️
