🚨Health Insurance Company capped our ₹50,500 claim at ₹33,500 and asked us to pay the rest from our pocket.

Let's go into a few assumptions here -
When NPS was introduced, we were to take Annuity of 60% of accumulated corpus. This was subsequently reduced to 40%.
Talks are underway to allow this to move to a SWP model.
The tax on Equity was 0% just a fee years back. It moved to 10%

Expiry Date means you should absolutely not use the item else it may have harmful effects.
Best Before on the means that taste/color may be deteriorated.

I agree. The only useful feature I found was 100% waiver of annual fees for Locker.
Only catch is that most probably branch staff will give you the smaller sized locker instead of medium or large ones(though you are eligible for that as well)
But then Why say No when its Free!

Changes I made to my NPS account this year -
1. Changed Equity Allocation to 75% for both Tier 1 and 2 (I am bullish).
2. Changed Fund Manager for Equity to ICICI for Tier 2
Current XIRR is 13.62% for Tier 1.
Current XIRR is 11.74% for Tier 2.
Let's see how the year ends!

NPS Tier 2 is the Cheapest Mutual Fund option available in the market. But Govt. is not ready to define and tax it as per mutual funds.
The taxation of profits in the NPS Tier 2 accounts is the most greay area I have ever come across.
