@CimaronH @IDI_Syndicalist I have run a very small amount of UHMW for repair stuff, I did notice it shifting around a bit but I was too busy trying to get the damn chip to break to worry ๐

@IDI_Syndicalist This is totally a grain structure thing. The old heat is distorting in X not Z. This explains a LOT of weird problems I've had running these.

@IDI_Syndicalist Yeah I'm leaning towards similar ๐ As long as I can produce parts that are in I'm ok but man do you see some weird stuff in this trade

@IDI_Syndicalist I haven't noticed work hardening. I'm not really hitting it that hard for this drill, 400 sfm .006 feed, and I've run this program before trouble free, so I'm really at a loss

@IDI_Syndicalist Both, this part is imperial though. .01 is wild and throws the part out. I feel like I'm going crazy. Short parts from the drill pushing I get but I've never seen this before

@IDI_Syndicalist I spent the last couple hours trying to figure out what was going on. It doesn't screw up the threads or change the OD at all. It's just consistently .01 longer after the drill ๐ค

@shpetim Oh man, that's a void! I took it for a hole from the other side that had material smeared over during boring. Brutal

@CSPopoff Ive done exactly this on a load of 2.25" acetal rod ๐ get coolant on your boots and walk across those and all you need is the beaver

@steel_anth Strictly process output, 100% of these bores are inspected so I'll catch anything that crops up. C954 is weirdly abrasive but HSS reamers still last a long time
