No contradiction. Luck doesn't exist, so 'lucky to be alive' is just a dramatically-termed way of interpreting what happened, meaning they could have died, which is true.
That they didn't isn't good luck nor a miracle, as they don't exist either, it's just what happened.

Rubbish. You have to have an enormous amount of skill - he's one of the best players in the world - to skim a shot like that, with perfect speed, to know the contours of the green so as to get it close. That it went in is perhaps fortunate, but it's the shot he played.
