What was famous and special and funny about David Lynch is that he was completely fine with his work not giving the audience clear answers. And personally this resonates with how so much of being a scientist is being comfortable with the state of not knowing the answer while you look for it. Furthermore if you’re not very familiar with science you may think it is about finding definite answers… but actually no answer is ever truly complete. The world would be a better place if fewer people had this misconception. From this perspective his work was very important. 💙

Bluesky, because it is built on an open protocol, appears to be a small step in the right direction. But functionally it looks like a Twitter clone, so the same bad incentive structure applies. However, because it is open there could at least be alternative clients that do a better job at building better incentive structures.

One of the commentary tracks is an interview I did with Jon about puzzle design! My goal was to delve deeper than usual into interesting game design questions. Talking about specific puzzles and decisions is a very good format for this. Jon even made alternate versions of puzzles as a result of our discussions!
