We have been learning about structures and using our knowledge to write about them. We can now write 3-5 sentences in our writing time and tell you interesting things about the Golden Gate Bridge #ocsbScience #ocsbLiteracy

4 types of sentences @TheWritingRevol We read, “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” & wrote a declarative, exclamatory, question & command. We used the starting words, “stop, go, or put” to help us see the difference between a command & a declarative #ocsbLiteracy

It’s DIBELs/ Acadience screener day @StGiannaOCSB! All students are working independently so teachers can screen 1-on-1. There is a hum of educator discussions on the results and you can hear the instructions being read all over the school! #ocsbLiteracy

We had the amazing @ChantalUlicny teach us about sticker stories. We picked 2-3 stickers to write a story and used our sentence knowledge! #ocsbLiteracy #ocsbML

We have been using our @ckschools curriculum to look at energy and light. We identified sentences and fragments and then extended our fragments using our knowledge to make them a complete thought @TheWritingRevol #ocsbLiteracy

We have been fixing run-on sentences. We listened to how it would sound if we couldn’t pause and then added periods. We noticed after every period there was a new “person word” like “I or we” #ocsbLiteracy @TheWritingRevol
