Thinking about my season 2 for the @LITeducationPod … what about each episode be exemplars of how I run my reflective learning interviews with students?

Summative assessments in my classroom are final reflective learning interviews where we look back at their journey and see where they have come! I love this, my students love this ❤️ they often end with a wow 🤩 comment and feel proud of themselves!
📌 Summative #assessments don't have to be a formal test or project. In fact, formal assessments are often the least valid representation of learning. Our informal #assessment, even conversations with students, can and should be used to summarize learning. #LeadInclusion

@DramaQueenBRC @Maverikedu12 I think more on the lines of how can teachers equip students with the right skills to use AI is an added bonus, a starting point… I know that the future includes AI so I want my future caregivers, lawyers, car salesperson to know how to use it as a tool and not a crutch

@DramaQueenBRC @Cafln @TG2Chat @teachbetterteam @xphils @ChristineYH @Maverikedu12 This is how I designed all my ADST family courses! Made a guidebook to go with that runs through my top 5 comps. Not content specific so I use for all 4 of my different courses!

@beckycarlzon I said some… in classes that are leading to out of k-12 settings that involves exams, exams would allow students to experience the pressure and required studying that is involved in taking an exam. Does it fit my context (I teach family studies and CLE)? No. My classes are pbl

21 pages of descriptive feedback later… I sure hope the parents actually read their high school student’s report cards! #bced #sd33learns At least I know the student will have since I do co-created comments!

@technolandy As much as I think some Ss need this, the tech in my school is so slow that Ss can do things (research, online portfolio curation, voice memo/podcasts, etc.) so much faster with their phones. I even wander around with my own phone for basic searches with Ss… 🤷🏻♀️
