I enthusiastically voted yes on the WGA’s Strike Authorization Vote because I wrote on one of the worst sitcoms of all time 20 years ago and STILL get residuals from it. This new generation of writers deserves the same level of compensation I received for completely fucking up.

My father, Howard Rodman Sr., worked in one-hour episodic network drama in the 1960s, notably on Route 66 and Naked City. There were no writers rooms then in one-hour drama. Only two people, called "story editors,” and a pool of freelances. That was it.
